- Taste the area's best chilis and chowders at the Chili Chowder Cook-off from 12-2 pm on Second Ave
- Enjoy kids' activities with Thunder Bay Arts from 12-3 pm such as pumpkin painting, pumpkin bowling, and cookie decorating
- View creative entries as part of the 2nd Annual Scarecrow Competition on the lampposts throughout downtown
- Enjoy live music at the Black Sheep's Oktoberfest & 13th Anniversary Party from 12 pm- close
- Taste Michigan brews at Fresh Palate's Sunrise Suds Tap Takeover from 12 pm- 10 pm on Second Ave.

Chili Chowder Cook-off | 12 - 2 pm | Second Ave.
Sample the area's best chilis and chowders at downtown's annual cook-off! Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door. Check-in and ticket set up will be at the intersection of Chisholm St. and Second Ave. Grab a drink from the Social District and see who will take home Best in Show ($250 cash prize), Best Chili and Best Chowder ($200), Most Creative Recipe ($100) and Most Spirited Team ($100).

The Black Sheep Pub, located at 113 S. Second Ave., is celebrating its 13th anniversary! From 12 pm- close, stop by their pub and enjoy live music, new Oktoberfest releases on draft, drink specials, and more.

This year, admission to the event will be FREE, but the Fresh Palate is looking for volunteers and donations to help make the event a success. Contribute at the links below.
