Every fall the DDA hosts its annual Chili Chowder cook off! An average of a dozen contestants from around the region compete in several categories from Best Chili or Chowder to Most Spirit Booth. The Chili Chowder Cook-Off is proudly a zero waste event with the help of Plastics Float 4-H and our volunteers.
This year's event is Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 12-4 pm. The event will be held on Second Avenue (weather permitting). $10 to taste all entries. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be for sale.

Bard at the Bar - A Shakespeare Themed Bar Crawl
In partnership with Thunder Bay Theatre, the DDA hosts Bard at the Bar each Fall. With several local bars and other establishments participating, attendees enjoy scenes from famous Shakespeare plays at each stop with refreshments included in the ticket price and a finale scene from this year's Shakespeare play held at Thunder Bay Theatre. Tickets will be available for early purchase in the Fall.
